Why Orange Business Everywhere sucks

(Ne)Interesant, EN

Last week I decided to give up my old Huawei E220 for a Huawei 870 Expresscard. I was quite happy I will enjoy speeds of “up to 7.2 Mbits/sec” , so you can imagine my disapointment when I discovered what a piece of crap the new orange software was.

Apart from the fact that it takes ages to load , it seems to have been causing a lot of trouble with the telephony service .

This is why i decided to take things into my own hands and moded the VMC v9.3 to work with Orange Romania settings.

So , here’s what I got:

Now , if you look at Orange who worked hard to build a branded app with all sort of features , VF seems to have remembered the KISS concept.

Their app is straightforward , easy to use , fast loading , XML-driven. Need I say more? Think not ! Cool thing is VMC doesn’t even check for the SIM to be Vodafone’s :)

I will just enclose the zipped settings for Orange , you just need to unpack it into the VMC folder should you ever need to use the same tweak.

    Hello,

I didn't get it to work. I chose Vodafone RO as a default on install, cause you have to choose something, then i noticed that the folders with the same name type as your zip are in the “opco” subfolder of the VMC folder, and that by default Romania is 22601, not 22610, so i did the following:
    - replaced the 22601 (result: no device found)
    - replaced 22601 with 22610 (result: no device found)
-put both, 22601 and 22610 (result: no device found)

i checked the interface each time, and it found my HSxPA modem, but it wasn't active, and the “active” tick was greyed out.

No device found has nothing to do with the OpCo settings.

    What device are you using?
